About the trip

You will fly round trip from New Orleans to Cairo, Egypt, to be God’s Ambassador to the poor and needy. Your team will partner with Operation Serve® Egypt, providing medical assistance, dental services, personal ministry, hygiene care, and hair care. There will also be children’s ministry consisting of clowning, face painting, arts, and crafts. You will join the Egyptian national believers in worshipping the Lord, as His love is expressed in Word and Deed.

General Itinerary

• Days 1-2: Travel Days, Team Orientation
• Day 3: Visit the Pyramids and Sphinx
• Days 4-8: Ministry Days in the Garbage City
• Day 9: Travel Home

Ancient Egypt is rich with history and resources. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and his sons traveled to Egypt to survive the famine. Mary and Joseph fled to Egypt to escape the death threat on the life of Jesus. Today, the cry from the land of the Great Pyramids is “help” for the “garbage collectors” (Zableen) living in the Garbage City on the outskirts of Cairo. God looks on the people of Egypt saying, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry...and I am come down to deliver them” (Exodus 3:7-8). God’s call to Moses to be His messenger of deliverance is as great today as it was in ancient times.

In response to God’s call, “Whom shall I send?” “Who will go?” You are invited  to join with Operation Serve® in Cairo. Join an Operation Serve® team and touch a life that Christ died to save. You will become God’s hands to clean and bandage an infected wound, wash and cut a small boy's or girl's hair, teach proper dental care, or just give a warm hug to a fearful little girl or boy. Hope and healing is hand delivered to literally thousands of lives.

Please prayerfully consider what God would have you do for the “Garbage Collectors” of Cairo. Nine days is so little to give with an eternity in sight.
